For consumers, this means the first question is not Do I have hypothyroidism? but What kind of thyroid history do I actually have? A person whose hypothyroidism is stable on their thyroid hormone replacement medication may still be a candidate for GLP-1 or GLP-1/GIP treatment, especially if obesity or diabetes is also part of the picture
