A vibrant ruby colour
fine acidity and finishes with some chewy tannins
peach and grape with hints of parsley and herbs
it has refined ripe fruit aromas of blueberry and violet
The schist soil in the plots of the Sil and Bibei river add minerality to the finish along with red fruits and flowers
Domenico Clerico, Barolo di Monforte d'Alba, 2022 (Case) Peth Wetz A vibrant ruby colourBrilliant ruby red in colour. On the nose, there is an incredible bouquet of purple flowers, raspberries and redcurrants, which interlace with hints of rose, rhubarb, toffee apple and incense. As the wine opens, layers of marasca cherries, white truffle, lavender and anise fill the nose. Expressive yet balanced on the palate, red fruit flavours, subtle minerality and refined tannins carry through onto the long finish.
