Amelia Valentine / Dinner in Paris Photographs and feelingAmelia Valentine is a Toronto based painter living and working in the citys west end. Her practice centers around the dialogue between control and spontaneity, using ink, acrylic, and raw canvas to explore what happens when intention loosens its grip. Her compositions are shaped as much by deliberate mark making as they are by the unexpected spills, splatters, bleeds, and other so called accidents that challenge traditional ideas of mastery and
