Inspired by an antique from Brenda's collection. Brenda was immediately drawn to the nontraditional shape of the sampler, long and narrow and the alphabet worked in one long row. only 3 7 8" wide! The antique was worked on canvas with wool. No signature, no date. Brenda noted that she took some liberties with this piece, using green floss for the flower
