Plum blossoms and a nightingale (Uguisu) are drawn on the plate, and they are traced in gold. This design is called Imari Ume. Some distortion is seen in the plate. Because it used firewood instead of gas or electricity like today, the temperature was unstable and it was easy to warp. There are little spots and dust marks (goma) you can see
