Unsurprisingly, this comes in the wake of recent news of Eli Lilly self-announcing that they think tirzepatide will come off shortage very soon. The tirzepatide shortage status, as listed on the FDAs own website, is still not marked Resolved. Any designation as available for a particular dosage strength does not carry any weight under FDA guidance if the overall designation remains Currently in Shortage. We will continue prescribing compounded tirzepatide as usual
