Malawi Round Woven Matt \ Rug TR25 Under Arrest Frost resistantA large round mat handmade in Blantyre, Malawi, from elephant grass one of the highest yielding tropical grasses, grown widely across the region. The grass is easy to grow but labour intensive to prepare: once harvested it's dried, then boiled to make it supple enough to weave. The result is a hard wearing, natural toned floor mat with real handmade character. As each is woven by hand, every piece is slightly individual. Size: approx. 150cm diameter.
